A late-Imperial Russian egg pendant in 56 zolotnik gold (approximately 14ct), set with a deep cabochon garnet. The goldwork is understated and refined: a single fluted band wraps the centre, framing the polished stone and giving the piece its classic Russian silhouette.
These miniature egg charms were worn on chains or bracelets as tokens of prosperity and protection, with Imperial examples often gifted at Easter or for significant family events. This one has a beautiful presence despite its small scale — rich colour, crisp lines, quietly luxurious.
